This journal reports the results of two large Phase 3 clinical trials (B-Well 1 and B-Well 2) evaluating bepirovirsen, an antisense oligonucleotide designed to target and reduce hepatitis B virus (HBV) transcripts in patients with chronic hepatitis B infection. The studies compared bepirovirsen with placebo in patients already receiving stable nucleoside/nucleotide analogue (NA) therapy.
